Rotarians Make Strong Rotary Clubs!
August 12, 2008
Every Rotary club has
at least one special member. You know the one I am talking
about… the one who KNOWS about ROTARY.
This is the Rotarian
who can tell you where the Four Way Test came from, why
Paul Harris started Rotary, what types of projects make
good local or community service projects, and where you
can find out about the things you don’t know about
Rotary. It’s the person who wears their Rotary lapel
pin, isn’t afraid to talk to non-Rotarians about what
Rotary is and does, and can really explain to a total
stranger why Rotary is a special opportunity.
Maybe your club is
special and has two, three, four or more of these special
Rotarians? Maybe the entire 20% that DO in your club falls
into this category? Maybe not… You remember the 20/80
Rule!
It is beyond argument
that the more of these knowledgeable Rotarians you have in
your club, the wider your club’s world of Rotary service
is, and the stronger your club is.
What if I said that
there is a simple, inexpensive process for generating more
of these Knowledgeable Rotarians for your Rotary Club.
What if I said that there is a simple, inexpensive way for
YOU to become that special member yourself.
Well, you have found
it! The Rotary Leadership Institute. If you are
identified by your club as a prospective club leader, or
if you want to discover the true benefits and
opportunities of being a Rotarian and not just a Rotary
club member, you have come to the right place. An
experienced and committed group of experienced Rotary
Leadership Institute Faculty use cutting edge facilitation
techniques to harness the unique power that Rotary can
have on your life, community and in the world.
You can be that
special member in your Rotary club- the one with the
ideas, the knowledge, and the passion for service and
fellowship. It’s as easy as signing up for one of our 20
odd events held within a drivable distance from you. You
will be amazed at what the experience will mean to you,
your Rotary club, and your community.
I hope that it will be
YOU who is soon considered to be that special Rotary club
member by your peers, or better yet for them to say
“There’s a Rotarian!”
